Clinic Holiday Pay
The Company recognizes six paid holidays each year:
New Year’s Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
Should a Holiday fall on a weekend, the holiday will be observed on the workday closest to the holiday.
If you are requesting off for Christmas Eve or New Years, you will be required to use a full day of PTO for your normally scheduled hours.
Eligible employees (part time or full time employees only) will be paid for holidays providing they are normally scheduled to work that specific day of the week. Since these are normally very busy days, good patient service dictates that no exceptions can be made to this.
Paid holidays are as follows:
- Holiday is paid on a scheduled day that a clinic may be closed to honor that holiday.
- Permanent licensed staff will be paid for the holiday if the holiday falls on the day they are scheduled to work. They will be paid for up to 8 hours if they are scheduled to work that day; they are asked to make up any additional hours in that week that they have missed working or getting holiday pay for. For example, if they work 10 hours on a holiday, we ask them to make up 2 hours in patient care time that holiday week.
- Support staff that are normally scheduled 20 hours or more during a 40 hours week will be paid for the holiday that falls on their normally schedule workday. They will be paid for up to 8 hours on that work day.
PTO will be used for employees who desire to observe a religious holiday that is not recognized by the Company.
